The University of East London is organising a series of seminars and an international conference and is participating in a variety of events exploring the impacts of mega-events on cities in general and the transformation of East London beyond 2012 in particular.
1. Seminar Series – Beyond 2012: the Olympics and the Regeneration of East London, held at the London Legacy Development Corporation, Stratford, London
2. An International Conference on Olympic Legacies and Impacts of Mega-Events on Cities, held at the University of East London, Docklands Campus, 4th – 6th September 2013
3. At the Centenary World Congress ‘Tomorrow for Cities’, held in London, 8th – 11th June, co-organised by the International Federation of Housing and Planning (IFHP) and the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), the University of East London is responsible for the thematic strand ‘Regenerating the City‘.
